Watch phimnet on your TV

The phimnet app runs on Android TV and Google TV (Chromecast with Google TV, Sony, TCL, Xiaomi and most TV boxes). It isn't on Google Play, so it is installed with the free Downloader app — it takes about three minutes.

  1. Install Downloader

    On your TV, open Google Play, search for "Downloader" (by AFTVnews) and install it. It's free.

  2. Enter the address

    Open Downloader, select the box that says "Enter a URL", type the address or the code above with your remote and press Go. The app starts downloading on its own.

  3. Allow the install

    The first time, the TV asks whether Downloader may install apps. Choose Settings, switch Downloader on, then press Back.

    If the TV doesn't ask, turn it on by hand (menu names can differ slightly between TVs):

    • Google TV: Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources → Downloader
    • Android TV: Settings → Device Preferences → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources → Downloader

  4. Install and open

    Press Install, then Open. Downloader then offers to delete the downloaded file — choose Delete; the app is already installed and the file only takes up space.

After installing

You can watch in 720p straight away. To watch in 1080p and keep your saved list, pick Sign in on the TV and enter the code it shows on your phone: connect a TV

The app checks for new versions and updates itself. The first time, the TV asks whether phimnet may install apps — allow it, just as you did for Downloader.

Other ways to install

You can also download the app on a phone or computer and copy it to the TV with a USB stick or a file-sending app.

Troubleshooting

"App not installed"
Uninstall any older copy of phimnet that came from somewhere else, make sure the TV has free storage, then try again.
The download fails or never starts
Check the address letter by letter and make sure the TV is connected to the internet.
Downloader isn't in Google Play
Search from Google Play on the TV itself, not on your phone — Downloader is listed for TVs only.
